Purpose of the award – To reward the new District Mixed Quartet Champion.
When is it given – The presentation is made after the Saturday Quartet finals by a member of the Awards Committee or their chosen representative.
What criteria are used – The Illinois District Mixed Quartet Champion is that quartet, which, through a single round of competition, receives the highest total score. One of the members of the quartet must be of the opposite sex (1 male and 3 females, 2 males and 2 females or 3 males and 1 female)
How is the information obtained – The Contest Administrator(CA) receives the scores for each competitor from the judging panel. The CA enters the scores into the Society Scoring Program. When all scores have been entered, the program sorts the scores and determines placement for each eligible competitor. The OSS (Official Scoring Summary) is then printed.
What is the physical award – The quartet will receive a certificate at the convention followed up with an individual plaque for each member to be presented within 45 days at the place of their choice.
