Purpose — Chorus Plateau Awards are given as an incentive to every competing chorus. It recognizes their achievement in a group of choruses of similar rank.

When is it given — At the end of the chorus competition, all of the scores are tallied and of the plateau winners will be announced as part of the overall winners. The physical awards will be presented and recipients photographed back stage after the contest.

Who presents the award — The award is presented by the current Vice President of Contest and Judging.

What criteria are used — Based on the previous years scores, chapters are seeded in 1-A, 2-A, 3-A, 4-A and 5-A Plateaus with 5-A being the highest scoring. When all of the scores are tallied, the plateau winners will be announced as part of the overall winners.

How is the information obtained –The Contest Administrator(CA) receives the scores for each competitor from the judging panel.  The CA enters the scores into the Society Scoring Program.  When all scores have been entered, the program sorts the scores and determines placement for each eligible competitor.  The OSS (Official Scoring Summary) is then printed.

What is the physical award — Each chorus will receive a plaque followed later with an engraved plate that can be fastened to the plaques.
