The Harmony Platoon Wants You

11 is better. Because most knobs stop at 10.
The Illinois Harmony Platoon is a new program available to all Illinois barbershoppers. The first mission for the platoon: Learn two songs at home before the Spring Convention. Then come ready to sing with other willing volunteers as the Illinois Harmony Platoon Chorus to test the mics for the 2013 Illinois District Small Chorus Championship on Saturday, April 13.
Top society arranger Jay Giallombardo has provided special, exclusive arrangements of two songs, complete with learning tracks: “Put On Your Old Grey Bonnet” and “When The Maple Leaves Were Falling”. Get your sheet music and learning tracks now for just $10. The fee will go toward the cost of purchasing future charts and learning tracks for the Illinois Harmony Platoon. Click here to sign up.
At future conventions, if the interest is what we think it will be, Harmony Platoon members will get four songs a couple months before a convention and compete for the Illinois Harmony Platoon Quartet Championship with three other men drawn at random at the convention.
Why don’t you get your music and start learning your part today? The success of this program depends on you coming to the convention “off paper” ready to sing with other Illinois District Barbershoppers. Let’s see if we can put 100 or more men on stage for this event!
