Welcome to the Illinois District of the Barbershop Harmony Society!  The Illinois District is one of sixteen regional districts within the Society, comprising thirty-six chapters, representing over twelve hundred members, and showcasing, at least, seventy registered quartets.  Our District is very proud of its history, having ushered ten quartets, four senior's quartets, and three choruses to the coveted International Gold, including the 2001 champion, Northbrook's New Tradition Chorus.

If you are new to Barbershopping, welcome to the greatest hobby in the world!  Please browse through our site to find a nearby chapter to join, a chorus show to attend, or a quartet to hire for your next event. We know you'll be thrilled when you hear the close harmony of this truly American artform that is catching the attention of people around the world.  You'll not only reminisce to the standards of the early half of the 20th century, but, also, hear captivating harmonic blends of songs across the spectrum from jazz to gospel to modern hits, not to mention a few original "made for Barbershop" tunes written by the finest talent in the Society.

For those of you who are already fans, take a step back in time in the Quartet Champions Association (QCA) archives to see some familiar faces and test your trivia knowledge, wander through the calendar for events taking place near you, or catch up on the latest news in the Illinois Update.  Get a great IDEA (Illinois District Endowment Assurance fund) by considering becoming a District legacy or find out what we're doing for bringing music to young men (and women) under the YIH (Youth In Harmony) section.
